After graduating at the VU University in Amsterdam, Ad Bol decided to study art at the famous Rietveld Academy. This is where his talent for film making was first noticed by an ambitious production company who soon employed him to be director of drama and television commercials.

A year later Bol went his own way and founded Eager Films BV. This gave him the opportunity to develop his own film style through creating commercial films for companies such as Total, ING, ANWB, SNS Bank, CEVA, Exact Software and many more. 



In 2005 Bol directed and wrote his first feature film ‘CASTINGX’. It had its premiere at the Dutch Film Festival and was hailed by Luc de Rooy (020, Oct. 2005) as ’an outline of a future masterpiece’. 



In January 2008 he wrote, produced and directed his second feature film ‘BLINDSPOT’. This film won various prizes in 2008 including ‘Best International Director’ at the New York International Independent Film Festival, ‘Best Director’ at the Estepona International Film Festival (Spain) and ‘Best Feature Film’ at the Waterford International Film Festival (Ireland).
